This place has hands down the best Asian food I’ve had in Colorado! The tonkotsu ramen was rich and full of flavor, and the poke bowl was super fresh and delicious. The gyoza was perfectly crispy, and the avocado roll was delicious. Plus, the staff was super friendly and made the whole experience even better. Definitely recommend this place.
This place is great, by far the best ramen in the four corners area! It's a little hard to find as there are no signs, and the place is small, but it is worth searching for. I went there with my family and everyones dish was great. I had ordered the Spicy Kimchee Ramen and the dish was full of flavor the broth was delicious, the amount of spice was perfect! My wife got the tonkatsu ramen and it by far exceeded my expectations. Compared to the other restaurants in the area serving Ramen the dishes here are by far better than any of them. My daughter got the I Love Mango Poke Bowl, the flavors blended perfectly together, everything was fresh and lite. The portion sizes were large but we all finished our food. If we hadn't been so full we definitely would've tried other items in the menu. We will be visiting again soon to try the other items in the menu as they looked delicious as well.
Best poke bowl in Durango! The salmon or tuna portion is generous. The miso cup that comes with the poke bowl order is also fantastic. Much more in the soup than two little bits of tofu like you get at other places. Yes they are pricey but it’s on par with what you will pay in any other city. I’ve like everything on the menu and don’t forget to try the Ramen soup!
We stopped at Akami for lunch on the way to another city and it was definitely a great choice! We ordered two poke bowls, and they were super delicious and fresh. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a patio that we can bring dogs. Strongly recommend!!
Hands down some of the best food I’ve had in a year. This lovely spot feels almost hidden from the highway, near the river, and the patio is lovely at sunset (pet friendly too). Service was quick, everything we had was absolutely delicious, and as soon as we left I wanted to go back!
We had a long day in the sun and just needed some food. Durango is a busy place and getting food to go at 8:30PM is almost impossible. We were just going to get sandwiches at a grocery store and saw this place. Let’s see. Awesome, they were busy but quickly welcomed us. Asked us what we wanted to order. Made a great recommendation for the Kimchi Ramen bowl (delicious) and pork belly buns. Packaged our food to go (quickly). Separated the ramen broth from the rest of it, and we could add our own broth as we went. Genius. Pork belly was crispy and so good. Later at night, nearly closing, but they didn’t skimp on quality. We were incredibly appreciative. Weary day of activities and Akami delivered!!!
This place was a great little spot to visit! The atmosphere was comfy with indoor and outdoor seating(with a great view). The staff was friendly when getting our order and food and the service was so quick! We ordered and got our food within about 10 minutes. We got the tonkatsu ramen and the takoyaki and both were fantastic! It was a little pricy but not over average for ramen. Each bowl was 18 each at the time of writing but it was A LOT of food and a lot of people around us got to-go containers. We consider ourselves ramen connoisseurs to an extent and this was a top contender for us! We will be coming back for sure!
Wow! This was my first Ramen Noodle Bowl and Akami did not disappoint. Thaden took my order. He set the tone with cool friendly vibes and recommended I try the Ramen Bowl if I hadn't before. Ariel delivered my food and was also very friendly and helpful. What a great little Durango Local Resuraunt with great atmosphere and a delicious menu. They also offer poke bowls and sushi rolls.
